Takayama Historic District

Many merchant houses flourished since the 17th century are remained in this old town. You can enjoy eating Hida beef, dango (Japanese sweet dumpling) etc while walking or drink sake in the local sake brewery. There are also two famous morning markets in Takayama where you can buy local handicrafts and fruits.

Mount Norikura
