“Tateyama Ropeway”, the longest ropeway in Japan

The Tateyama Ropeway, with a total length of 1700m and an altitude difference of 500m. It is the longest ropeway in Japan without using any pillar. This is also a mobile observatory where you can overlook Tateyama mountain range, Kurobe Lake of Emerald Green, etc. You will cheer up without any doubt if you ride it!!

Tateyama Tunnel Trolleybus

Tateyama Tunnel Trolleybus is a railway located at the “highest point in Japan”. Running on electricity instead of fossil fuels, it helps preserve the natural environment. In the middle of the tunnel just below the summit, the buses on the up and down lines pass each other, so don't forget to say hi to each other!!

Tateyama Cable car

Two cable cars going up and down on a 24 degrees-inclined-slope. The cars body are also painted with cute illustrations such as ptarmigans and alpine plants!!
