Enjoy the rich flora of a 100 year old beech forest. Ascend 500 m in a single trip. Some of these trees are over 1000 years old. If you are lucky, you may be able to see these animals. These monkeys are sometimes seen along the route. Japan's tallest waterfall at 350 m. Meadows and Marshland at an altitude of 1900 m The alpine walk starts here and beautiful sunsets over the clouds can be seen. Stroll along boardwalks over this vast wetland area. This wall of snow can reach 10 stories high. This is a volcanic crater lake. One of the most picturesque spots for a stroll at Murodo. The peak of Mt Tateyama seen reflected in the cobalt blue pond. Enjoy this magnificent caldera from the view point. It is possible to see Mt. Fuji from the shrine on a clear day.. At 2,999 m, this is one of the most challenging peaks for climbers in Japan. These birds are designated as a Special National Treasure. These carnivorous mammals are members of the weasel family. The highest natural hot spring in Japan. Steaming clouds of water vapor erupt from the ground. The spring provides refreshing drinking water from June to October. Mountaineers gather around Ichi-no-koshi area. The panoramas of Tateyama and the stardust within your reach. The only ropeway in Japan without a single pylon along its span. It connects Daikanbo and Kurobedaira. This dam is 186 m tall and 10 cubic meters of water pass through it every second. The scenery of Lake Kurobe and the view of the Alps reflected on the surface of the water are just beautiful. Get the finest view of the dam and the rainbow produced by jets of water bursting from it. You can stroll along the top of the dam. In October, the fall foliage around the lake is also a must see. This tunnel was originally built to transfer building materials for the dam.
